These should be steps which go down to the north.

b0159178_5204765.jpg

These steps are precisely situated on the N-S axis of this building.
b0159178_5215984.jpg

And beside them there remain in line two basements of columns made of bricks.
b0159178_5213929.jpg

Sorry! they are not revealed well yet. They are concealed in the bank which runs behind these steps.

Where can we find these huge pots?
Now we can see only some holes at the foot of us, and we remain about 20cm above the level of the rims of these pots yet. But looking into the hole, we can see the inner surface of the pot.
Each pot is about 130cm high. (from the inner bottom to the upper rim).

Another cistern

A cistern excavated in 2005
b0159178_5371094.jpg

We found another cistern.
It has almost same propotions to the former one, and these were formed into a line along the foundations of the main hall.

The excavated cistern is coverd with wooden planks behind it.

Deoxidised soil formed under the continuous wet condition

In the north end of the excavation area
There might be another room in front of the room with apse which was excavated and denominated "Vano 7" in 2006.
It is not certain yet why we can find this deoxidised soil only in this area.

b0159178_2253855.jpg

Now we are about 1.5m below the floor level of Vano 7. But we doesn't reach to the floor of this room yet. The floor of this new room might be stepped down northward.
